ChemEcol was formed in the early 1990's to commercially develop fundamental studies that had been conducted on liquid fuel combustion. From its inception an ethical decision was taken to ensure that ChemEcol's non-metallic additive technologies posed no threat to the environment and that the best practice was used in commercially developing the technologies.
Extensive testing of the additive technology took place throughout the mid 90's in the European Union. However, this was the time in which fuel specifications were being rapidly updated (especially sulphur levels) and ChemEcol thus began a major development program to keep pace with the changing specifications. Although, it was difficult at the time, this rate of change allowed ChemEcol to develop Additive products for 3 generations of diesel fuels.
The fuel additive products so developed are now applicable to all commercial diesel fuels in use in all parts of the world. During the late 90's ChemEcol began to commercialise its fuel additive treatment products and has secured sales in a number of countries including a significant contract with a large European oil company. Other major oil companies have also completed their technical evaluations and are now viewing our technology with interest as a mean to improving and differentiating their diesel fuels.
As emission and fuel differentiation become more important issues ChemEcol's additive technology will play an increasing role by delivering these benefits at a fundamental level.
We look forward to the challenge of the next decade to offer.
